The Board of Directors & Trustees
The Trustees and Board of Directors are responsible for the policy direction and overall vision of the Centre. Individual board members also play a crucial part in the accountability mechanisms as signatories to the organization's bank accounts.
The current board is diverse and unique: it is of highly qualified (both professional and experience) and gender balanced mix of well-known Kenyan personalities both from the state and civil society who have all, in different ways, demonstrated personal commitment to positive change in the country.
The Secretariat
The Secretariat is functionally organized around three programme areas which includes; Economic Governance, Representative Institutions and Citizens Participatory and Advocacy. It consists of: - Executive Director
- A Programmes Coordinator
- Programme officers
- Finance and Administration Manager
- Programme Assistants
- Other support staff (as illustrated in the secretariat personnel chart).
The Centre provides opportunity for young university graduates to get hands on policy research and advocacy experience by working with program officers and consultants for one year. The internship programme aims at spreading skills and knowledge available at CGD to more Kenyans. The interns act as project assistants. |
